The SheLeads mini sessions are a result of the success of the first annual full-day SheLeads event that took place this past July at the Chatham Capitol Theatre, organizers said.
The positive response and enthusiasm from the community have fueled the expansion into monthly mini sessions to provide ongoing support.
Key features of the series will include focused topics, local expert speakers, interactive workshops and networking opportunities for participants.
Chatham-Kent councilor Alysson Storey will kick off the mini sessions on Thursday, Jan. 11.
“We are excited to be launching our 2024 SheLeads mini session series with our friend and role model, councilor Storey,” SheLeads co-founder Randi Bokor Caron said in a release.
“Alysson is an advocate for all women in Chatham-Kent, and we know her session will be enlightening. We can’t wait to pick her brain about being a woman in municipal politics.”
The series is made possible through the sponsorship of Mainstreet Credit Union.
