The new information leaks that have emerged show us that the Dying Light 2 story has expanded with the new upcoming DLC pack.
If Techland supports this build as it has supported Dying Light for years, it will get a new zombie game, plenty of free updates, premium DLC and worthwhile expansions. Dying Light 2 story will expand. While Techland hasn’t shared any post-release plans for the game, the game is still fairly new. However, it looks like there are instances where a significant story expansion may already be available, or at least from fragments of the game files.

Although it is not always possible to trust these packages found by data miners, sometimes they can give us a lot of information about the future of production. What unused content is discarded during development is sometimes difficult to measure compared to what has been added recently, and is indicative of content in active development.
The leak was shared on Reddit. One platform user reported that he found a large chunk of information about the Elyseum Region in the encrypted localization files, adding: “I entered the game data.paks and also in the invoke file to the ‘Outpost’, ‘Blood Diamonds’ and ‘Archers’ missions in the new Elyseum region. I found some strings referring to it.

For now, it’s hard to know what will and won’t be included in the game from this leak. Regardless of the results, however, as all this information is unofficial for now, it will only be included in the pile of information that should be kept aside.
