The leaders of the BRICS countries, consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, decided to increase the number of member countries at the 15th summit held on August 24, 2023, and Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Egypt, Argentina and Ethiopia were invited to become BRICS members. .
