Shooting at Söderkulla in Malmö

At around 11.50 the police in Malmö went to the Söderkulla district due to a shooting. A person had seen several bullet holes in a window of an apartment.

– It was not the resident who raised the alarm. It is not known when the shooting occurred, but the caller is certain that the bullet holes were not there yesterday. It has happened during the evening, night or morning, says police spokesperson Evelina Olsson.

Could be misfiring

The site is cordoned off and the police are investigating what may have happened at the site.

– We carry out door knocking, use special search dogs and collect witness information, says Evelina Olsson.

At an early stage, the police suspect that it was an accidental shooting, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna. The apartment owner is unknown to the police.

– We are in the process of checking those who are registered at the address in question and others who are registered in the area. It sometimes happens that things go wrong, says Evelina Olsson.
