The versatile performer and actor has a long career on stage and as a performer. His most famous song was “34:an”, which was on the Svensktoppen in 1964–1965.
He fell asleep on Thursday afternoon, December 28, after a period of illness, says Dramaten press officer Lena Törner to TT.
Per Myrberg suffered a stroke in 2020 and then lived in a nursing home for a while.
“He left us peacefully and the family was together and close to him. It is extremely sad and surreal, but he had a peaceful and rich life,” says Per Myrberg’s wife Sara in a statement via Dramaten.

Per Myrberg played a total of 92 roles at Dramaten between 1956 and 2013, but was also known for his work on television and in film. He made his directorial debut Göran Gentele already in 1957 in the role of Erik in “Varmlänningar”.
In television, Hand was among others in “Hedebyborna” in 1978. And in later years he could be seen in the TV series “Saltön” and “Gynekologen i Askim”.
60’s hit “34”
As an artist, he is forever associated with “34”, the song that described the “demolition frenzy” around Sweden in the 1960s, with lyrics by Olle Adolphson.
The song was on the Svensktoppen for 39 weeks in 1964–1965.
