The last rocket has been sold in Frida Allert’s construction store.
This year, she has sided with the animals and chooses not to sell fireworks for the New Year.

Frida Allert’s construction store in Kisa has been selling fireworks for the New Year for several years. This year it is over. She says that it has been on the news for a long time.
– Several of us in the store have dogs, for example. We know it affects animals and nature, so this year we felt it was time to stop thinking and just implement it.
She says that the store’s fireworks sales accounted for a very small part of the total sales.
– But we have sold well with fireworks. It has not been a question of reduced sales but rather a moral question.
Positive reactions
The reactions to the decision have almost exclusively been positive, she believes.
– Lots of comments have trickled in on social media and there have been a few negative ones. But overall there have been positive reactions.
TV4 Nyheterna was previously able to tell that the Veterinary Association now wants it to be prohibited for private individuals to buy and use fireworks and firecrackers. Frida Allert thinks that more stores should follow her example.
– I also personally think that handling fireworks is a bit scary. I absolutely think that more people should follow the same line.
