Recently, there has been an increase in hand, foot and mouth diseases. The disease manifests itself with flaking on the hands, feet and mouth. Experts make serious warnings about this highly contagious disease.
It is seen as sores in the mouth, sores in the palms, and sores on the soles of the feet. This disease is likened to chickenpox. It is also known that hand-foot disease, which is known to be a viral disease, is transmitted mostly through the respiratory route.
Making a statement to Show Haber, Prof. Dr. Hikmet Tekin Nacaroğlu said that hand-foot disease has started to be seen very frequently, especially in children between the ages of 2 and 10.

Listing the symptoms of the disease, Nacaroğlu said, ‘Following an upper respiratory tract infection such as fever, sore throat, weakness and malaise for 1-2 days, we encounter some water-filled symptoms in the throat.’ he said.
BEWARE OF COMMON AREAS
Nacaroğlu said that this disease spreads especially in common areas and added: ‘Its contagion increases with shared toys and play dough. “If there are any symptoms, we should not send the child to nursery or school,” he said.
