With almost 2,000 hours of Nyhetsmorgon aired in 2023, the features have replaced each other. Some have stood out a little more, and engaged extra, than others.

Our reporter Carolin Björnerhag has taken a deep dive into all elements of Nyhetsmorgon’s almost 2,000 broadcast hours and brought out the clips that engaged the viewers the most – and it is both gripping stories and host coups that fit in the top five.

5. The host coup

Many people have mistaken Maria Forsblom and Sofia Geite. They often get mixed up in town when meeting viewers. In fact, it happened so many times that when earlier this year they got the chance to broadcast Nyhetsmorgon together for the first time, they had to take the opportunity to perform a coup, something that was obviously appreciated by the viewers.

4. The babysitters caused the daughter’s death

When Helena went into BB to give birth, daughter Isolde had to go home to Helena’s parents. The parents chose to let Isolde sleep outside in the guest cabin, but left the heating fan on all night. Isolde died of heat stroke and lack of oxygen.

Unthreatened one as the most viewed clip is none other than Erik Videgård who explains why you absolutely should not use the garlic press, but chop or grate it instead. He goes so far as to throw the garlic press in the garbage later in the year.
