To demand better pay conditions, a collective of “angry municipal police officers” and several unions called on the more than 25,000 municipal police officers, employed by town halls, to strike during Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve as well as as January 1st. They are demanding more social benefits, just like their colleagues in the national police. This movement will result in the intervention strike. Interview with David Quevilly, municipal police officer in Toulouse, national vice-president of the National Federation of Municipal Police Officers (FNPMF) and member of the coalition at the origin of the movement, which notably brings together several unions (CGT, CFDT, Sud, Unsa, etc.).
