Many of us have a favorite film associated with Christmas – some long to see the classic “Love Actually” with Hugh Grant, others prefer “The Holiday”. In addition to romantic comedies, there are some comedies associated with Christmas, such as “A Pear to Father Celebrates Christmas” and “Bad Santa”.
“Love Actually” has become a standing feature
In a press release from Viaplay it is possible to read:
– Real Christmas classics like “Love Actually” have become a permanent feature of the Christmas celebration at Viaplay, says Joakim Franke who is head of content at Viaplay Group in Sweden.
Viaplay has presented a list of which Christmas films were most popular this December. Among the children’s films, the new animated film “The Grinch” was the most popular. The list is based on how much the respective movie streams increased during December and does not include children’s movies that can be associated with Christmas.
