The Signal revolves around Sven (Fitz), who is searching for his missing wife Paula (Peri Baumeister) with his daughter Charlie (Yuna Bennett). The astronaut is shortly after a mission disappeared along with the plane that was supposed to take her home. However, Sven soon finds mysterious clues to their fate. Fans won’t find out for a few months whether The Signal comes close to Dark. It was important to Fitz that the Netflix series does not repeat what many fans consider to be the biggest Game of Thrones mistake.
“We’ve all seen what happens when it’s just a matter of breaking expectations – then you have the final season of Game of Thrones“, said the actor in the Moviepilot interview about the challenges of a Netflix series. “But you still have to see how it remains exciting and touching and surprising and still comprehensible.“
When does The Signal appear on Netflix?
The signal appears on March 7, 2024 on Netflix. In addition to Fitz, Baumeister and Bennett, German acting icons such as Katharina Thalbach (The Tin Drum) and Meret Becker (Life is a Construction Site) will also be seen in front of the camera.
