Cemvision claims to be able to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 95 percent compared to normal cement production.
Now the state-owned mining giant LKAB has signed a contract with the cement manufacturer.
Cemvision has built a pilot factory in southern Poland. So far, production is modest, but the company has big plans to increase production considerably, writes TT.
The contract with LKAB is the first commercial agreement where deliveries on a smaller scale are expected to start in March.
Cement manufacturing is one of the most climate-emitting industries with eight percent of global emissions.
Behind Cemvision are the owners Norrsken, EQT and Breakthrough Energy.
