Man faces four assault counts: Chatham-Kent police

A Chatham Township resident faces charges after a father and son clashed this summer, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers who began investigating Nov. 28 learned a man had assaulted his teenage son multiple times between June and September, police said Wednesday.

A suspect turned himself in at police headquarters at 5:30 am Tuesday, police said.

A Chatham Township man, 41, is charged with four counts of assault, police said. He was released with conditions and a Jan. 22 short date.

Firm threatened, man charged

A man faces charges after an online poster threatened to torch a Wallaceburg business, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to a Murray Street business about 10 am Monday learned an online commentator had threatened to burn the business down, police said.

Officers contacted a suspect, who turned himself in at police headquarters about an hour later, police said.

A Chatham man, 50, is charged with uttering threats, police said. He was released with conditions and a Jan. 22 short date, police said.
