Boys are convicted of kidnapping and attempted murder

Three 16-year-old boys are sentenced for kidnapping as well as attempt, preparation and branding for murder for shootings in southern Stockholm. The penalty is closed youth care.

Two of the 16-year-olds, both natives of Dalarna, are sentenced to closed youth care for four years and two years and six months, respectively, for attempted murder, preparation for murder, kidnapping and aggravated weapons offences.

At the end of March, the boys were assigned to kill a man who stole drugs from the Foxtrot criminal network. In search of the man, they kidnapped and shot his friend, but the friend managed to escape.

One of the 16-year-olds is also convicted of two additional attempted murders after he shot two people in a townhouse in Salem on the night of March 14.

The third 16-year-old is sentenced for aiding and abetting attempted murder, aiding and abetting murder and minor drug offenses to closed youth care for one year and four months.

Another seven people, a 15-year-old boy and six men between the ages of 18 and 40, are sentenced within the framework of the case.

A 22-year-old and a 24-year-old are sentenced to prison for five years and six months for participation in the kidnapping. A 40-year-old is sentenced to two years in prison for aggravated protection of a criminal after he drove one of the 16-year-olds from the crime scene in Salem.
