A 44-year-old man is charged with assault causing bodily harm, break and enter and mischief after a clash with another man in Wheatley.

The victim was allegedly assaulted with minor injuries to his neck at about 11 p.m. Friday, police say.

The Wheatley man returned to the apartment, damaging a door and the victim’s man’s property.
He was arrested around 3:30 am Saturday on Erie Street North in Wheatley.
He was released with a Jan. 22 short date.
Man charged after uproar at police headquarters
A man arrested late Friday on an outstanding warrant is also charged with mischief after breaking a phone at Chatham-Kent police headquarters.
At about 10 am Saturday, the man was in the booking room counsel phone booth when he became angry and smashed the phone, police said.
He then turned toward police and suggested he would initiate a fight, but ultimately slowed down.
A 42-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with mischief under $5,000 and held pending a bail hearing.
