Behind the investment are Inlandsbanan and the logistics company Loadex. The idea is both to be able to get Härjedalen’s forest products on the market in a better way, but also to reduce truck transport in favor of trains.
According to the two companies, approximately 200 trains must be unloaded and loaded at the terminal each year, which would mean that diesel consumption could be reduced by approximately 1 million liters per year.
