How much will the pension increase in 2024?

The income pension will be increased in 2024
The income pension will be increased by 1 percent next year. This means that a pensioner with SEK 15,000 in general pension will get SEK 150 more in their wallet every month next year. A total of SEK 1,800 in 2024.

The guarantee pension will be increased in 2024
The guaranteed pension will be increased by 9.1 percent. This means that from 1 January 2024 it will be increased by around SEK 1,000 per month for those who are unmarried, and SEK 880 for those who are married.
Next year, 60 percent of all pensioners in Sweden will have a guaranteed pension, which is a record number. The reason for this is that the price base amount has been raised, and that those who had SEK 40,000 in final salary now also receive some guaranteed pension.

The occupational pension will be increased in 2024 – that’s how it will be
The occupational pension paid by your employer will be increased on 1 January 2024. Old occupational pensions are in many cases increased by 6.5 percent next year, but some receive up to 9.1 percent.

How much is the premium pension increased?
The premium pension is part of the general pension, and it is affected by how the return looks on your investment.

On January 1, you can find out exactly how much your pension will be next year by logging in to “My pages” at the Swedish Pensions Authority.
