It doesn’t always have to be the most sophisticated food. Every now and then there are films like 10,000 BC that you know are actually stupid. Roland Emmerich’s adventure film was really expensive and full of mistakes, but there is an even worse version. The original is on TV tonight.
What is 10,000 BC about?
The story is actually pretty simple: Our hero D’Leh (Steven Strait) usually hunts mammoths diligently. Now it was However, his beloved Evolet (Camilla Belle) is kidnapped by nasty riders, who want to enslave her and some other villagers. Of course he has to save her. And of course it’s no coincidence that his name reads backwards as hero, no no.

10,000 BC was still a success at the box office, but was heavily criticized and ridiculed. That’s because of them artistic freedom, which Roland Emmerich and co-screenwriter Harald Kloser took on. The film is full of logic holes, errors and inconsistencies.
