In TV4’s long-running Postcode millionaire, the contestants have the chance to win one million kroner. But to claim the big prize, they must first answer 15 questions correctly in the famous hot seat.
It is Richard Sjöberg who host the quiz show, and if the contestant feels unsure about the correct answer, they can resort to a number of lifelines.

But how do you actually become one of the contestants in the popular program? Sophie Westerlundpress officer at Postkodmiljonären, has previously told News24 about how it happens when the production selects the contestants. She then explained that the second step, after the initial application, is a knowledge test.
– At the second contact, we do a knowledge test with the possible participants and interview them in depth, Sophie Westerlund has previously said.

But how does this hidden knowledge test actually work? The participant has it Jonathan Haraldsson told Nyheter24, in connection with his appearance in the hot seat in Postcode millionaire.
Jonatan Haraldsson explains that he first sent in an application, and some time later he was called completely without warning.
– I wasn’t really prepared for it. We were on a class trip when they called. So I stood inside the grocery store and answered questions, Jonatan says with a laugh.
“Had to answer 40 different questions”
Jonatan further explains that the questions on the knowledge test were completely without answer options, unlike in the actual program.
– Where I had to answer 40 different questions that could be about anything. And then there were no answer options, but you had to answer quickly.
– I got 32 correct, and a few days later they contacted me again and said there was a place for me in the program.
In other words, the knowledge test is nothing that can be seen on the TV screen, but something that happens before the recording.
– They were not very easy questions, but not very difficult either. It feels like they put them at some sort of intermediate level, so that you could know them without answer options, explains Jonatan Haraldsson.
