Posted last November on TikTok, this video went viral, garnering a million views. Maggie DePalo, an American comedian, shares her disastrous experience with a hair salon in Chicago.
The failed blow-dry that hits the ceiling
Before performing at a stand-up club in Chicago, Maggie DePalo went to an unfamiliar hair salon to get her hair done. So, the comedian asked for a blow-dry to have some “volume“on her blond hair,”naturally very flat“, she said in the video. The American explains that chaos reigned in the place which, surprisingly, also sold handbags. “Several people use round brushes fiercely on you, so many round brushes,” she pointed out on TikTok. “At one point, I was upside down, and when I looked up, someone was pouring white powder on my hair.” she added. After realizing the outcome wasn’t what she hoped for, Maggie DePalo admitted to having afraid to complain to the manager. “When I got in my car and my hair reached the ceiling, I realized it was much worse than I thought.” she confided, revealing the photo of her cut after her visit to the hair salon.
Impossible to break the blow dry
In this TikTok video, we discover the monumental blow-dry failure requested by Maggie DePalo. The roots of her hair are sticking out to the extreme, a large lock rises vertically and her bouffant bob gives the impression that she is wearing a helmet. A hairstyle which seems to have shocked the comedian judging by his crestfallen expression. The blonde told the site Insider having tried to restyle his hair, to limit the damage before going on stage. Despite attempts at brushing, its cut is “remained quite swollen throughout the day”, she declared. A hair disappointment which obviously amused Internet users, many of whom commented on the viral video.
