Escape from Tarkov (EFT) is a popular shooter known for its tough gameplay. The new Arena mode is scheduled to start this weekend.
What is EFT: Arena? Escape from Tarkov: Arena will be an independent game that, like its model – the extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov – relies on weapon behavior that is as realistic as possible and tough gameplay.
EFT: Arena can also be played again at the currently ongoing DreamHack Hannover 2023. The development studio Battlestate Games also showed a trailer there announcing the start of beta tests.

EFT: Arena: Release of the closed beta announced
When is EFT: Arena released? The closed beta of Escape from Tarkov: Arena starts on December 17, 2023. Battlestate Games announced this at DreamHack Hannover 2023 (via Twitch).
With Escape from Tarkov: Arena, however, the start of the closed beta can be compared to a real release. To this day, the extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov can only be played in a closed beta, for which you have to buy access for at least €52.
How can you participate in the beta? Access to the Escape from Tarkov: Arena beta will be distributed in waves. To be invited to the beta, you must be logged in to the official website Tarkov.Arena.com.
The first wave will consist of players who first purchased the most expensive version of Escape from Tarkov, the Edge of Darkness Limited Edition. In addition, those who pre-ordered EFT: Arena first (via Twitch) will receive priority access.
How much does EFT: Arena cost? You can pre-order EFT: Arena as a standalone game or get access through the Edge of Darkness Limited Edition of Escape from Tarkov. Depending on which variant you choose, the price fluctuates significantly.
If you want to buy EFT: Arena, you can only do so via the game’s website. The shooter is not available on Steam or other well-known launchers such as the Epic Games Store. This also applies to the “normal” Escape from Tarkov:
