A cinematic is currently exciting fans of World of Warcraft. The focus is on an orc who bites the digital dust in a particularly amusing way.
In the last few months, World of Warcraft has been on the rise again. This is not only due to the good condition of Dragonflight, but also to the great success of World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore. Here the heroes only have one life – if they die, their journey ends and they have to start again.
Many heroes lost their lives on the way to level 60. Watching the funniest or stupidest deaths of well-known streamers has become a huge phenomenon. Often, thousands have watched live as their favorite streamer made an avoidable mistake, ruining days and hours of work.
The most famous of these deaths has now been honored with its own cinematic.
What kind of death was that? It’s about the streamer Guzu. He had lost his warrior in a tragic and rather funny way in the dungeon “The Temple of Atal’Hakkar”. The group was fighting the green dragon “Weaver” when Guzu answered a question in the chat. He showed his community the mouse pad from “Dragonflight” and held it up to the camera – only to be thrown into the air by the dragon at exactly that moment.
The throw sent Guzu straight into the only large hole in the room. In a panic, he tries to drink a Noggenfogger elixir to, with a bit of luck, activate “slow fall” – but in vain. The impact ends the warrior’s story forever.
What kind of cinematic is this? The video comes from YouTuber Hurricane. He took the time to recreate the entire scene with modern graphics and lots of humor.
Hurricane has been known for its high-quality World of Warcraft trailers for years. In fact, his videos have been so good that he has even been officially creating trailers for Blizzard for several years now – sometimes for special announcements in WoW Classic, sometimes for competitive events, such as the dungeon tournaments.
The streamer is thrilled: Guzu himself is also absolutely thrilled with the video. When he reacts to it in the stream, he can hardly stop laughing and has to watch it several times in a row:
Especially the many small details, such as the built-in mouse pad, the search for the Noggenfogger Elixir and even the Demonic Rune (a reference to another of Guzu’s deaths) make the video quite a tribute to him.
Who would have thought that one of the most “embarrassing moments” of a WoW hero could be made so epic?
