One of the most hotly anticipated theatrical releases of the year is being followed today by one of the most hotly anticipated streaming releases: Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fortune is now available with a Disney+ subscription.
The farewell blockbuster starring Harrison Ford received mixed reviews, the emotional scope and the elaborate production but make it a must for Indiana Jones and adventure fans. According to Variety, the budget is said to have consumed around $300 million, making Indy 5 one of the most expensive films in history.

The story begins in 1944 in World War II. Indy (Harrison Ford) is on a secret mission in the Alps with his colleague Basil Shaw (Toby Jones) to retrieve the Lance of Longinus from the Nazis. But scientist Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen) discovers a more powerful artifact: the Wheel of Destiny.
Fast forward to 1969: For the old-fashioned Dr. Nobody cares about Henry Jones Jr. anymore. But then his goddaughter Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) bursts into the film and involves Indy in an exciting adventure in which the events of the past and present converge.
No turning back: Even before The Wheel of Destiny, Harrison Ford had said goodbye to perhaps his greatest role in two films: the trilogy conclusion The Last Crusade was followed by his comeback in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008. But after The Wheel of Destiny there is definitely no turning back. Ford, now 81 years old, decided on this. So you should have tissues ready for the last few minutes of the film.
