Following the two major earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 and affected many cities, especially Hatay, Ekşi Sözlük, which was closed to access on February 25 for “national security” and “preservation of public order” reasons, was on the agenda again.
Ekşi Sözlük objected to the closure decision, and the access ban decision was lifted by the court. However, with the final decision, the site was closed again before it could be opened.

Thereupon, the dictionary management moved the site to the ‘eksisozluk2023.com’ domain name, but this domain name was also closed to access on May 13.

The domain name ‘eksisozluk1923.com’, which was later opened by the dictionary management, shared the same fate today.
Access to Ekşi Sözlük’s new domain name was blocked by the decision of the Ankara 6th Criminal Court of Peace dated December 14, 2023 and numbered 2023/13768, on the grounds of “national security and protection of public order”.
