Interrupted last July because of numerous dissensions, the congress of the opposition party Union of Humanist Democrats (UDH-Yuki) of the late Guy-Brice Perfect Kolélas will resume before the end of year holidays, according to its leaders. This congress should make it possible to find a successor to the founder of the UDH-Yuki, the second opposition group in Congo-Brazzaville.

According to a source from the congress organization team, it must resume exactly on December 22 and 23. The activists who caused trouble and caused the interruption of the meeting last July were removed from the list of participants, dropping from 700 to 573.
The first vice-president, Pascal Ngouanou, 78 years old, brought together several dozen activists at the party headquarters to explain to them that the mission of the future leadership team will be, among other things, to rebuild the party and especially to train young executives ahead of take over.
“ The Congress Organizing Commission is working. She even finished her work. You can be reassured that the congress will be held before the end of year holidays. I will not ask permission (to organize it) from anyone. I am not only the acting chairman of the party, but also the guardian of the temple “, declared Mr. Ngouanou, also interim president of UDH-Yuki.
Until last weekend, the UDH-Yuki only had 7 million CFA francs in its accounts, while the party needed 20 million CFA francs, or 30,000 euros, to relaunch the congress.
The second opposition group must find a successor to Guy-Brice Perfect Kolélas, who died two years and nine months ago. His party came second in the 2016 and 2021 presidential elections.
