Winter Wonderland brings you a raid day with Damythir

The new Pokémon Damythir is coming soon to Pokémon GO. We summarize all the information about the “Winter Wonderland” event and the associated raid day.

When is Winter Wonderland running? The event starts on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 and ends on Sunday, December 24th, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. But, important: There is a raid day in between that brings you the new Pokémon Damythir.

When does the raid day with Damythir start? It begins on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. on the same day. So it only runs for three hours within the Winter Wonderland event.

What kind of Pokémon is this? In Legends: Arceus, the Pokémon Damhirplex received an evolution: Damythir. This Hisui Pokémon acted as a mount for trainers in the game and now appears in Pokémon GO. You get it during the raid day.

All information about the raid day:

  • Runs December 23, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Damythir appears in tier 3 raids
  • You can also encounter the shiny variant – the chance of this is increased
  • You will receive up to five additional Raid Passes of Arena Discs – during and up to two hours after the event
  • The remote raid limit is increased to ten instead of five. This applies from 1:00 a.m. on December 23rd and until 4:00 a.m. on December 24th

    This is the supporting event that runs on the weekend of December 23rd and 24th. There are a few bonuses and a collector challenge here.

    You can also encounter Damythir in the Collector Challenge. The tasks will revolve around catching and evolving different Pokémon. Ducks wearing holiday clothes should also appear there as a reward.

    There are also the following bonuses:

  • Up to five special exchanges per day
  • 50% less Stardust cost when trading
  • Double XP for victories in raids
