TENNIS Maarssen resident Guy den Ouden reached the semi-finals at the ITF tournament in Monastir, Tunisia. After he defeated the Austrian Sebastian Sorger in three sets in the second round, he was too strong for the German Mark Wallner in two sets in the quarter-finals: 6-4, 6-1.
Elgin Khoeblal has also reached the semi-finals of the ITF tournament in Zahra, Kuwait. De Utrechter won 6-1, 6-2 against the eighth-seeded German Adrian Oetzbach in the quarter-finals. Sidane Pontjodikromo did not reach the last four. De Leersummer had to admit his superior in the British Giles Hussey: 6-4, 6-4. Hussey will now face Elgin Khoeblal in the semi-finals.
