The WC final between Sweden and Finland ended 6–4. The six Swedish goals already came in the first period.
– I’m a little speechless. I have not experienced anything like this. 6-0 after the first period… one could probably only dream of that. We play fantastic floorball, says goal scorer Maja Viström.
SVT Sports expert Anna Wijk saw the Finnish team.
– I am so surprised at how kind the Finns are. They release returns on returns. It’s too kind and far too tame, she says.
“We’re so damn good”
However, the final was not completely undramatic. Finland reduced in the second period and thus came up to 6–4 in the third.
The result means that Sweden is world champion for the ninth time in a row.
– We are so damn good. it’s incredibly good team cohesion. Incredibly nice. Finland pushes and we really have to fight towards the end, says Wilma Johansson, who won the overall points league in the WC.
Sweden – with Åsa Karlsson as national team captain – went clean through the championship. Six straight wins and a goal difference of 74–14.
