We are a few days away from the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, still set for March 18, 2022, but the specialized press has already given its verdict. By going to the Metacritic site, the title of Square Enix and the Team Ninja studio is doing well with an average of 72% in its PS5 version. A metascore obtained through 43 tests listed in the world and which will expand in the weeks to come, since we will also be in this listing once we have finished the game (we received the game today from the from Square Enix). However, if this average of 72% is relatively correct, on closer inspection, we see a lot of disparity in the opinions. There are certainly good marks, but also very bad ones, including a 2/10 from NME, which explains that not only have all the trailers disclosed the game’s story, but that it’s also a damn nameless to understand. The media also criticizes the gameplay that they find wobbly and above all unbalanced, that Team Ninja does not have the stuff of a FromSoftware. That’s their opinion, but overall, there’s also a lot to complain about in terms of the production and the graphics, which are quite disappointing overall. While waiting for our verdict, let’s take a look at the various ratings obtained in the world press:
