Sebastian Samuelsson missed the podium after a nightmare series

There was no victory in the chase start for Sebastian Samuelsson. He finished fifth after a dark half-minute on the embankment during the third shoot.

The Swede was then in the lead, but the chance of victory disappeared when he missed two shots. Samuelsson also had problems handling the rifle.

– It was careless. He rehearses two shots (which slipped out of the rifle). It was nothing good, says shooting coach Jean-Marc Chabloz.

The Norwegian star won

Samuelsson finished 49 seconds behind Johannes Thingnes Bö, who had to stand at the top of an all-Norwegian podium. The victory was the star’s first of the season.

– I’ve been waiting for this one. I felt strong today, says Thingnes Bö.

He won ahead of runner-up Johannes Dale and third-place Tarjei Bö.

Martin Ponsiluoma finished in 13th place.
