“Jerry Speaks Spanish” Has Got a Monument – “Awesome”

“Por favor” and “gracias señorita” – with those words Jerry Wallinder won the hearts of the Swedish people.
Now he will be honored with a monument.

In 2012, a school in Enköping learns about Spain before a school trip, but it risks being cancelled. SVT wants to document. During the visit, one person stands out.

A clip with the title “Jerry speaks Spanish” is published and it becomes a success. Today, the clip has received almost four and a half million views on YouTube.

Now his viral language skills will be immortalized outside the old school with a monument.

The monument is located outside his old school in Enköping and is adorned with the famous words: “Gracias señorita!”
