Emil Forsberg is one of Sweden’s key players.
Now the national team player is forced to choose between the legends Fredrik Ljungberg and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
– He was a great player, but for me he was not an idol, says “Foppa” in a statement.
For many years was Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Fredrik Ljungberg Swedish football’s biggest stars together with Henrik Larsson. The trio were called “Super Swedes” in the national team and took Sweden to several championships in a row with their unforgettable efforts in the blue and yellow match uniform.

But there was also a bitter struggle on the inside that few knew about. Only when “Ibra” released his book “I am Zlatan” was the truth about his relationship with teammate Ljungberg revealed.

Ibrahimovic called him the “prima donna” in the book and did not have too kind things to say about Ljungberg. Both fought for the limelight in the Swedish national team and they did not like each other.
Forsberg’s favorite
Today, one of the Swedish national team’s biggest stars is named Emil Forsberg and he reminds a lot of Fredrik Ljungberg in his playing style. He also played with Zlatan for several years in the national team and was therefore asked a question about the legendary duo.

Then Forsberg reveals which of the players is his absolute favorite.
– He (Ljungberg) was a great player, but for me he was not an idol. He had an impressive career and is almost a legend in Sweden. But for me he is not an icon, it is only Zlatan that applies to me. No one else, Forsberg admits in an interview with the German newspaper Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.
