Sweden should accept fewer refugees, an increasing number of Swedes believe, according to an opinion poll conducted by DN/Ipsos.
In the survey, 57 percent responded that Sweden should accept fewer refugees than today, which is an increase of 6 percentage points compared to May 2022. Support for a stricter migration policy is now back at roughly the same level as before the outbreak of the Ukraine war, writes DN.
Only 14 percent of the respondents believe that Sweden should accept more refugees, 23 percent answered neither more nor fewer.
The survey was conducted during the period 13–26 November with the help of 1,310 interviews where the question “Do you think Sweden should accept more or fewer refugees?” was asked.
