Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Jolie explained that she will be in front of the camera again as a fairy for Maleficent 3. Exact details about the story and the rest of the cast are currently unknown. The project was first confirmed in 2021 (via Giant Freakin Robot).

The project must be very close to Jolie’s heart, otherwise she seems to have had enough of Hollywood. “I’ll move away if I can“, she explained in the interview, “I grew up in a very superficial place. Hollywood is not a healthy place. You look for authenticity.”
Jolie was born in California and appeared in front of the camera as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in Two in the Ink. She won an Oscar for Crazy in 1999 and became a star in 2001 with her role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. In the 2010s and 2020s, she took extended breaks from acting to devote herself to her humanitarian interests. She was last seen in Eternals in 2021.
