The police have arrested eight people from Utrecht who are suspected of having defrauded dozens of elderly people from across the country. The victims were robbed while they thought they had met someone via a dating site or app. From twenty men, all 75 years or older, a total of more than 350,000 euros in money and valuables such as jewelry and gold were stolen.
