HandOfBlood spends two months building a functioning tank in order to play World of Tanks

HandOfBlood is probably one of the most creative and original German-speaking content creators. He is particularly known for his diverse costumes. Depending on which game he is playing in his videos, he dresses up accordingly. The YouTuber is now setting new standards with a self-made tank in which he sits while playing “World of Tanks”.

What is the situation? On YouTube he sometimes shows himself dressed as a hitman, burglar or chef. HandOfBlood, real name Maximilian Knabe, doesn’t skimp on creativity in his videos. Thanks to an ambitious team, he surprises with original ideas in his weekly videos. This also includes sitting half-naked in a cauldron and jumping up a mountain.

Just ordinary gameplay in HandOfBlood is only available on the second channel. Instead, he slips into the role of the game hero himself. Thanks to its advertising partnership with the “World of Tanks” developer, HandOfBlood can be found in the game along with his face.

Or he leaves the digital world and climbs into a real tank for a joyride.

HandOfBlood shows how creative advertising works

In the recently released video, “World of Tanks” is once again the focus. This time, HandOfBlood and his team spared no effort and built a mini-tank out of metal over a period of two months. The YouTuber sits there in his new video and creates a funny picture thanks to the deliberately unrealistic proportions.

The highlight of the matter: The self-made tank is not just an aesthetic accessory. The game is also controlled via it. The classic computer mouse and keyboard were dispensed with and instead a system was developed with which HandOfBlood can control his digital vehicle from the tank.

For example, the armored barrel moves analogously to the movement of the mouse. As you can see in the video, this fact does not make it any easier to use. Rather, the tube, and thus the crosshairs, must be regularly realigned. This costs time and, in the worst case, is punished with screen death.

How is the video received by the community? One thing has to be said for the YouTuber’s audience: given the great effort and high quality, they are not short of praise. Numerous comments celebrate the video and primarily the self-built tank.

  • @Vaspelderechte: “Nobody puts as much effort into a placement as HandOfBlood, really awesome.”
  • @SuperDuperMart1: “This is simply a 100/10. Hardly have I ever seen a WoT content creator who puts as much effort and creativity into “World of Tanks” videos as HandOfBlood.”
  • @harryhups: “Thanks to Hänno and team! Just perfect entertainment to end the day.”
  • So you can see that creativity still pays off on YouTube. HandOfBlood is certainly an exception in the uniformity of German content creators, and one can hope that the success and reach of his videos serve as a role model for others.
