The father in Älvsbyn who was detained on suspicion of several serious abuses of children has been released, reports SVT Nyheter Norrbotten.
The suspicions against the man remain, but the detention is suspended because the investigation is expected to take time.
The main reason why the man was detained was to protect the children who are now taken care of and protected from more crimes and pressure, according to the prosecutor.
The man has been detained on suspicion of gross exploitation of children for sexual posing, gross child pornography and gross sexual abuse of children. The man himself has denied the crime.
The father’s three young children were previously cared for according to the LVU, but were placed with the father again after serious shortcomings in the care of the children were discovered.
It was then revealed that the father was suspected of serious child pornography offenses and that the children testified to violence and abuse in the home. The handling of the matter is being investigated as misconduct.
