Fredrik Jensen, who plays in the German Bundesliga, is finding his game after injuries.
Finnish soccer player Fredrik Jensen scored a goal as his club Augsburg beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at home in the German Bundesliga on Sunday night.
Jensen hit a nice shot to give his team a 1-0 lead in the opening half, and in the second half the brass pack Iago extended the lead to two. Jensen was also organizing his team’s second goal. Eintracht took the lead with Augsburg’s own goal, but the visitors’ strength was no longer enough.
Jensen’s goal was the first of the season, he already has four assists. In his Bundesliga career, Jensen has now completed four goals, and he is now alone in the seventh place in the statistics of all-time Finnish goalscorers in the German premier league.
The three goal men sami Hyypiä and Petri Pasanen were behind Jensen in the statistics. They are at the top with 14 goals Mikael Forssell and Pasi Rautiainen.
With the win, Augsburg rose to ninth in the series, Eintracht Frankfurt is seventh.
The change of coach has given Jensen a big role, and the Finn has been in Augsburg’s playing lineup several times in the fall.
