AZ was slightly more threatening than FC Utrecht in the opening phase. Already in the 3rd minute Barkas had to save a bet from Poku. In the 20th minute Poku was dangerous again. Barkas saved again. In the counter that followed, AZ’s goalkeeper was unable to control a shot by Seuntjens. On the rebound, Lidberg wanted to shoot, but the Swede went to the ground. Referee Blank pointed after the spot, but was corrected by the VAR. “They said he hooked himself, but I didn’t see it that way,” trainer Ron Jans responded, “but you probably have better eyes than me.”
