This year’s theme, ‘Seeing is Believing,’ celebrates the spirit of Christmas in Chatham-Kent. The program will feature nostalgic Christmas music presented by St. Andrew’s Concert Choir, a 60-voice choir, conducted by Devon Hansen, and the Bel Canto Choir School, directed by Christine Baribeau.

The St. Andrew’s Chamber Orchestra will also perform and provide accompaniment.
Local singers slated to take the stage include Colin Bell, Andrew Derynck, Victoria Hoshowsky and Nohl Egan, as well as other musicians.
Hansen said he’s looking forward to the 11th annual event, which will be in its fourth year at the Capitol, having moved there to accommodate more people.
“So far, we have sold already about 800 tickets, so (we’re) hoping to sell out this year,” he told The Daily News. “It will include over 120 local performers, including singers, instrumentalists and even dancers this year. Lots of familiar favorites to start the Christmas season. From Charlie Brown to Home Alone to The Nutcracker.”
Ascension Dance will perform The Nutcracker.
Noting he has been impressed with the response to the concert, Hansen said increased recruitment is another benefit.
“It’s so great to see so many community people come together and want to be a part of this,” he said. “Each year I get more people wanting to sing because they saw last year’s.”
A limited number of seats are available. Tickets are $25 and available from the Cultural Center box office, or at www.cktickets.com. Children 12 and under are free.
