In the middle of COP28 in Dubai, around twenty countries are calling for tripling global nuclear capacities by 2050. The United States, France, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, but also Ghana and Morocco, among others, see it as a way to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. These states believe that nuclear power can respond to one of the major challenges of this climate summit: reducing dependence on coal and gas.
