The live event “The Big Bang” took place in Fortnite on Saturday, December 2nd. We at MeinMMO were there live at the event at the end of the OG Season in Chapter 4. Here we tell you how Eminem’s concert went.
This is where everything came to a head: Since the beginning of Season: OG, fans have been able to visit the old Chapter 1 map in a nostalgic atmosphere and fight with legendary weapons and items from the meta at the time. A poignant moment for the community that brought many players back on board.
In the background, however, the story continued and Sloane and Jonesy worked to switch to another reality with the visitor’s rocket. The live event therefore served as the linchpin of the change. We’ll show you what happened.
This is how the live event went: “The Big Bang”
This is what happened in the live event at the end of Season OG: If you survived the queues, you were spawned near the visitor’s rocket. Players were able to entertain themselves there with emotes until launch. However, previously players were allowed to calibrate their audio settings.
The event began with the launch of the rocket and an alarm. Players watched as a rift opened in front of the meteorite, once again tearing the map into the infamous black hole. Everything seemed lost, but then a portal opened and took your skin into space, where many universes with different content were waiting for the players.
Did you miss the trailer for Chapter 5? Then we have the right video for you:
The content included a Lego world with familiar Fortnite faces like the Durr Burger. In this dimension, players could build houses and even fight nasty monsters.
The second universe brought players into a world of racing cars. Fans could race on a race track and compete with their peers. Various movements such as boosts or jumps could be carried out with the cars.
Last but not least, there was a musical dimension in which players were allowed to attend an Eminem concert. The players were then allowed to replay the rap song using keys, just like in Guitar Hero. However, Eminem himself stormed his own concert and then performed the song “Godzilla”.
After all universes had been visited, your player floated through the depths of space, which felt like additional universes, and now stood in front of the universe of the “Battle Royale” world. There is no server down yet because Epic Games wants to hold its live event on two more dates.
When does Chapter 5 Season 1 start? There is no information yet. We’ll keep you updated if anything new is released. Epic Games would like to hold its “Big Bang” event two more times and after the last date took place at 5:00 a.m. German time on Sunday, there should be server maintenance.
Now that the Chapter 4 Season: OG live event is over, the question is, what did you think of Eminem’s implementation and performance? Did you expect that Epic Games had so much planned? Let us find out in the comments!
