Then Scott Brash went out and snuffed the Swedes to victory with his super ride in the jump-off.

During the Friday evening, the temperature turned up a bit at the Sweden International Horse Show. Then it was time for the international 1.50 jumping, where there were good chances of victory for the Swedish crews.
The Swedes also went out and impressed in the first jumping, where both Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Malin Baryard-Johnsson were flawless and thus the duo made it to the re-jumping, where three other crews also qualified.
In the jump-off, Swedish Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and his stallion Zuccero went out and put pressure on the others with their flawless ride, where the clock stopped at an impressive 39.39.
But only the best riders in the world come to the Sweden International Horse Show and Bengtsson’s time was “only” enough for a third place.
This is because the time was first beaten by the Dutchman Harrie Smolders (39:18) and then the Briton Scott Brash and his Hello Mr President struck with an unparalleled 38.06, which put enormous pressure on Malin Baryard-Johnsson, who was last out.
The Swedish fixed star went out and answered for a nice ride, but the time 39.90 was never really close to threatening Brash and Baryard-Johnsson had to find himself in his second fourth place this Friday.
