Birth of a child, pregnancy, separation of parents, death, starting school, moving… So many situations that upset the family balance. To cope with this, CAF offers valuable help, little known to parents.
Are you going through a difficult time in your family? You probably don’t know it, but the Family Allowance Funds (CAF) offer help to support you while you wait for the situation to improve. It’s about home help and support system (AAD) for parenthood. This help, very useful and yet little known, allows any parent in difficulty to benefit from home help to temporarily support them and, above all, help them get better.
Are you wondering if you are entitled to this device? You should know that all families, whether beneficiaries or not, with at least one dependent child under the age of 18, or expecting their first child, can claim AAD.”in the event of occasional social or educational difficulties threatening family balance”, explains CAF. To request this, contact your CAF or a home help and support service (Saad) near you, within one year of the difficult situation. A person will come to your home to assess your needs and then put in place an action plan to help you deal with the situation.
How does it work and what types of aid are there?
All speakers are trained and qualified professionals. In total, the duration of the mission cannot exceed one year. If the social and family intervention technician has no hours limit, social life assistants cannot exceed 100 hours. Two types of professionals may be required to intervene:
- The social and family intervention technician (Tisf) : he is there to give advice intended to rebalance family life. He can also help the single parent with certain daily life tasks (cleaning, emptying the dishwasher, shopping, hanging out the laundry, etc.);
- The social life assistant (AVS) : its mission is to help carry out the tasks of daily life. With great listening skills, she also provides essential moral support.
Remember that this help is not free. However, the cost is calculated based on your family quotient. It varies between 26 cents and 11.88 euros per hour.
