The alarm came just before 6pm on Thursday evening. Divers from the rescue service were down in the water and during the operation they found two dead people in the car.
According to the police, the deceased persons are two men aged 25-30 years.
Relatives have been notified.
“At the moment, it is unclear how the car ended up in the water, but investigation measures are underway to clarify this,” the police write on their website.
The incident is initially classified as murder, but according to the police, this may change depending on what emerges in the investigation.
Around nine o’clock in the evening, the car had been recovered and come out of the water. The cordon at the site was lifted later during the night.
