Patch 5 for Baldur’s Gate 3 could still be released today, November 30th. The update will contain tons of changes and bug fixes. So many that Larian issues a warning in advance for anyone who might not have enough storage space.
What kind of patch is this?
Update from 6:28 p.m.: The complete patch notes for Patch 5 are now here.
This is how big Patch 5 will be: The patch is said to be “only” around 30 GB in size – which alone is a decent size. However, 130 GB are required for downloading and installing. The game itself is only around 125 GB in size.

Basically, you don’t need the new patch to play, as Baldur’s Gate 3 can also be played alone. However, it is advisable to restart the game at launch time from the patch and load the patch. If you don’t do this, you run the risk of being locked out of all your saves.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for Steam and PS5:
Baldur’s Gate 3 – patch notes for patch 5 are still coming
The full patch notes for Patch 5 as well as the patch itself should be released as soon as possible. A specific date for the changes and the release is still pending. This morning the boss said: the last quality assurance measures were just being completed and then we could start. (via X)
In addition to the bug fixes, there should also be “a few surprises”. Rumors speak of a Christmas event in the game, although it is not a service game. There are also plans for new features, but these will only be revealed in the next community update.
As soon as the patch notes are available, we will make them available for you here on MeinMMO. Until then, you’ll just have to be patient… and maybe clear out some space on your PS5 or PC.
