Rögle turned against Frölunda despite a late match penalty

Rögle was first on the score sheet, but before the first period was over, the first turnaround of the evening was a fact, when Frölunda scored three quick goals.

And it was above all the third goal that attracted attention. After Brandon Davidson completely misjudged a situation at his own goal, Jere Innala was able to make it 3-1.

– A very questionable behavior by the Rögle player. The passivity of Rifalk paves the way for the goal. A real free goal, says SVT Sports expert Håkan Loob.

But it wasn’t enough to take home the victory. At 3-4, with barely eight minutes left to play, Rögle received a match penalty on Brady Ferguson. But despite that, they managed to turn the game around.

They caught up to 4-4 and in overtime Adam Tambellini was able to decide and secure two points with the 5-4 goal.

– We said before the third that we will have a comeback today. Incredibly nice to succeed in that and to win in overtime, says Rögle captain Anton Bengtsson.
