(Finance) – Themanufacturing activity recorded a contraction in China in November. This is the second month in a row of decline for the PMI index which stands at 49.4 points, below the 49.7 points estimated by the consensus and compared to 49.5 points in October.
The data confirmed the phase of contraction of economic activity, as it is below 50 points, the dividing line between the contraction phase (values below) and the expansion phase (values above).
Also weak service industry with the PMI services index falling, again in November, to 50.2 points from 50.6 in October. However, the indicator remained in the expansion phase, although falling to its lowest value since December 2022.
