Brutal superhero series on Amazon is getting another spin-off

There is good news for all fans of the macabre superhero series “The Boys”. After “The Boys: Diabolical” and “Gen V”, another Amazon production based on the well-known comic universe is in the works.

What is the title of the spin-off? The new series in The Boys superhero cosmos will be called The Boys: Mexico, as Deadline reported.

The filming of the new superhero production will involve a change of scenery and this time will take place in Latin America.

Who is behind the project? Diego Luna (Cassian Andor in Star Wars) and Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle) are listed as executive producers.

According to Deadline’s sources, there is a real possibility that both actors will also take on small roles in front of the camera.

Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer will write the script for The Boys: Mexico. He is also involved in the series as creator and executive producer. They are currently looking for a co-showrunner to support him on the project.

The Boys’ previous team, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, are also involved in the production of The Boys: Mexico.

Casting for the series has not yet begun. It is not yet clear which actors will appear in the new production.
