An area larger than the size of Greece has been ravaged – this summer of 2023 – in Canada. There, firefighting is shared between the federal government, provinces and municipalities. In western Canada, the city of West Kelowna partly burned in August. On site, residents welcome the actions of firefighters and authorities.
